Ew. We would never condone playing with pointy objects — unless they’re being handled by acupuncturist Lei Ann Resureccion at Lotus Mind+Body Spa. Then, and only then, are they allowed anywhere near the facial region.

In fact, during her facial rejuvenation acupuncture, Resureccion applies the little pinpoints around your eyes, across your forehead, into your chin, and even your earlobes. The idea is to get circulation moving and help lift the skin to reduce lines (in theory).

She’s a pro at indoctrinating the needle newbie. She’ll alleviate every fear, talking you through each step, and even signals when things are about to get tough.

The outcome may leave you more relaxed than lifted. But isn’t that the point?
