Hey, did you hear about that new raw restaurant in the North End?

Ha, that’s rich. Within the luscious landscape of sausage pizza and spaghetti Bolognese?

Sure, but of all places, that’s where they could use an ambitiously healthy newcomer.

Gosh, I love salads, but isn’t raw a bit extreme?

Well, it’s not like it’s just a big salad bar for rabbity people. The food can be heated up to 114 degrees, which leaves room for some really inventive options. Feisty proprietor Alissa Cohen is a raw foodie star, so she’s got a handle on what actually tastes good, too.

Like?

Coconut curried spring rolls, wild mushroom ravioli with asparagus cream, and anise-infused dark chocolate ganache truffles. With a glass of biodynamic wine or sake, you’re set.

Not at all what I expected.

Totally. That’s what we call shock and raw.
