Vee Vee Opens

vee vee!

So, ur BFF wants u & the S.O. to take the T to J.P. for some V.V.

Np, right?

On the heels of hipster hat store Salmagundi comes Vee Vee, a cozy new restaurant next door.

With seats for about twenty, the spot knows how to keep things simple. Restaurant vets Dan Valachovic (Mi Casita, Zon’s) and wife Kristen (Zon’s, Sorellina) focus on fresh, modern fare with a heavy hand toward seafood and vegetarian dishes that won’t go for more than $20.

Veggie entrees like stuffed delicata squash and linguine with caramelized onion and goat cheese are easy on the eyes (and even better in the belly). And don’t miss the couple’s favorite: shrimp and scallop fritter. Made with crunchy panko and shellfish, it’s their answer to the ubiquitous crab cake.

That’s the 411; txt ur friends. Otherwise, they’re SOL.

Vee Vee, 763 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain (617-522-0145 or veeveejp.com).
