Dress Code

Wayne Clothing

Danger: Curves Ahead. Caution: Mountainous Terrain.

Excuse me, ma’am. Did you see the signs? You’d better keep that figure of yours in check. That’s right; we said figure. Now step out of that too-tight dress.

We’re booking you on violation of dressing outside your image. You’ll need to make an appearance at Dress, where Wayne just hit shelves.

Former Barneys buyer Wayne Lee (what, you got a problem with a girl named Wayne?) came from a family of tailors, but after starting down the path toward medicine, she decided to embrace fate and start designing. She introduces her third season with curve-disguising minidresses and tailored jackets. Keep an eye out for silky, sculptural numbers and asymmetrical cuts.

They’re flirty with touches of tomboy and comfort.

Just watch that we don’t catch you stopping traffic.

Available at Dress, 221 Newbury Street (617-424-7125 or dressboston.com). To see styles, go to wayneinc.net.
