Chicken No. 1: Psst, Mabel.
Chicken No. 2: What is it, Camilla?
C1: You seen that new HennHouse going up across the street?
C2: No. What of it?
C1: Henny Penny told Mrs. McCluckery that it’s a high-end yard sale started by a couple of two-leggers, Sandra Cavallo and Paula Hennessy, self-described stay-at-home moms with a passion for junk. Apparently they travel the East Coast sourcing used furniture and housewares, then spruce them up with a touch of painting, stripping, and waxing.
C2: You’ve beaked my interest. Go on.
C1: Once a month they open the doors to their Victorian storefront to sell their revamped wares alongside new pieces from exclusive vendors. Actually, there’s a sale this weekend. All prices can be haggled over, and the inventory changes every month. I’m thinking of flying the coop. Care to join?
C2: Sure thing. I’m certainly not lying around here all day.
HennHouse, 1337 County Road, at Route 28a, Cataumet (508-274-0672 or henn-house.net).
