The Dairy Bar at Kickass Cupcakes Opens

Your impossibly cute neighbor asks if you can spare a cup of milk. You’re forced to admit that a) the only dairy product in your fridge is a bottle of Baileys Irish cream or b) invent a freakish intestinal disease.

Why not suggest a joint trip to Davis Square’s new Dairy Bar at Kickass Cupcakes? The hood’s destination for mini-cake creations has just added an all-dairy retail space next door. In addition to selling locally produced milk, it has cheeses, butter, and hand-packed ice creams on offer alongside eggs from Coll Farm in New Hampshire.

Owner Sara Ross also makes her own creme fraiche using local heavy cream available atop a cupcake or on its own. And she plans to introduce outdoor seating and cupcake decorating parties, too.

This lot will clearly get you more attention from any dairy-loving neighbor.

We say milk it.
