Supply and Demand

City Feed and Supply Opens New Location

feeding time!

M&M’s. Cocktails. Days off. One is never enough.

Same goes for locally owned stores. For years, City Feed and Supply stood as a tiny, tucked away grocery store/cafe/hangout packed with local products and organic foods, serving fair trade coffee and creative sandwiches to the busy Stony Brook neighborhood.

Yesterday, a much larger outpost opened on Centre Street. The new joint has 4,000 square feet of space and serves breakfast, loads more sandwiches and soups, desserts from Sel de la Terre, and produce from Allandale Farm.

There are a few tables in the cafe and plenty of space at the bar where you can park it for joe and people watching, as well as a jam-packed gift area filled with goods from local artisans.

Because you can never have too many one-of-a-kinds.

City Feed and Supply, 672 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain (617-524-1700 or cityfeed.com).
