Hooked on a Feeling

In Season Farm Delivery Truck

open season!

You want it. You need it. It’ll make you feel real good. You just. can’t. quite. get. there.

To the farm, that is. For local, seasonal food.

Why not let Chris Crandall of In Season bring the farm — inside his temperature-controlled, biodiesel-fueled delivery truck — to you?

Not quite CSA (you choose your weekly order) but better than a megastore with salmonella-laced tomatoes, the service sells New England meat, seafood, fruits, and veggies, plus locally made pasta, and Maine sea salt.

Place your order online by Tuesday night then swing by the designated spot in Salem on Saturdays. Crandall will be waiting with your order and a smile. He’s expanding to Jamaica Plain, Newton, Cambridge, and Somerville later this summer.

Stop by sans order, and he’ll pass out his extras.

Careful, though: You might get hooked.

In Season, 185 Essex Street, Salem (617-216-4089 or
