This country was built on simple, virtuous truths: freedom. Equality.
And the right to drink al fresco.
To uphold these liberties, venerable cheeseburger-slinging jukebox joint Charlie’s Kitchen has acted for the people. The resto has just unveiled its handsome beer garden (upping the lively street’s impressive patio-per-capita) with outdoor seating; a full dinner menu; and an in situ bar serving sixteen, count ’em, sixteen drafts.
The spot used to be an old garden and garage, unable to host a building due to an ancient seawall. But after five years of planning, the seawall sits front and center as a momentous relic of ye olde Cambridge.
Finally, history class meets victory glass.
We’ll drink to that.
