For once, that pesky weather system has delivered something welcome to Boston.
Stormcloud, Bring Rainbows — an upcycling fabric revolution started by Anthony Ferrario a year ago — is taking our city by, well, storm.
Ferrario, who moved to Cambridge last January, began his fashionable life making men’s ties out of military garments. Now he spends hours sifting through thrift shops where he finds well worn but salvageable fabrics that he lovingly revives into psychedelic zip-ups.
If the sky’s dropping more rain than rainbow, rev your warmth factor in the Yaydees Biker Hoodie: Thigh-skimming hems and SBR’s signature ’80s palette should brighten things up. Or combat drab with Elektrickoolaid Swoodie’s contrasting sleeves and patterned pocket lining.
They’re fit for sunny days, too.
