Some childhood memories are best forgotten. (Auntie’s perma lipstick stains. One accidental eyebrow shave.)
Others shape your future. For Emily Scott of E. Scott Originals, it was memories of wearing her grandmother’s entire jewelry box that unleashed her inner designer.
After a stint at the North Bennet Street School for jewelry making, she now crafts baubles inspired by sumptuous family heirlooms. And rather than the glitz and glam of yesteryear, her everyday pieces are crafted in sterling silver with single hand-set gems.
The most current crop — an ode to Great Aunt Eleanor — plays on old-school filigree, reinterpreted in strong and simple lines.
A legacy of which anyone would be proud.
