Those days of fearing wolves under the bed are way behind you. You, scared?
Um.
Seek comfort with Boston-based artist Chris Elsasser’s quirky lightboxes. The founder of design brand Munstre knows how to set the world alight.
Elsasser mixes found-object drawings — a haunting rib cage X-ray or a gritty Technicolor film still from the ’60s — with original illustrations, which are then printed on film, overlaid onto white Plexiglas, and set in a sturdy wooden curio. Once turned on, they act as night-lights or funky lamps for both day and night.
Illuminating they certainly are.
And all the better to see you with, my dear.
