You aren’t one for long goodbyes.
But when your best be-seen lunch spot, Boston Public, shuttered all too quickly last spring, it was a sting you couldn’t shake.
Say hello (again) to Restaurant L, which just reopened in the Louis Boston space thanks to Pigalle and Marco chef, Marc Orfaly.
It’s the perfect stop for a pre- or post-shopping binge. Nibble at the stand-and-go cheese and wine bar (thank Albert Winestein for the list) or sit for Kobe beef and foie gras dumplings or 48-hour slow-cooked short ribs. The bar menu, meanwhile, is sprinkled with Asian delicacies like spring rolls and pork buns.
For now, it’s open only during store hours (till 7 p.m.), but rumor has it the place will transform into an acoustic lounge once a month on weekend nights.
All in all, grounds for a very long hello.
