Beer Me

It’s not just Santa who’s bursting out of his trousers: You drank and ate enough this past week to last a year.

Not that you don’t appreciate the luxury. There are hundreds of thousands of hungry people in Massachusetts who don’t know when their next meal will be.

The Greater Boston Food Bank distributes free food to thousands across the city every day. But the winter season and the fizzling economy don’t help. You, however, can — by donating food or money or by volunteering your time. Alternatively, you can grab a beer (yep, you heard us).

Through January 4, visit one of The Glynn Hospitality Group restos (The Black Rose, Clery’s, Dillon’s, Brownstone), order a Guinness, and they’ll give $1 directly to the Food Bank.

Thirsty?

Better drink up.
