In the Moop for Love

Moop Bags

Nothing lasts forever. Strawberry fields, maybe, and a diamond if you buy into ad schlock.

Moop bags, however, are making a strong play for immortality. Owner Wendy Downs constructs the original designs out of a durable corded canvas that ages like high-quality denim (a.k.a. perfectly).

Working out of her Easthampton studio, she and a small staff hand-cut and sew each bag to order, spending hours on every piece to assure a beautiful, indestructible product.

The current collection holds eight timeless designs, including a chic tote and a messenger bag suitable for both ladies and gents, plus clutches and hip pouches. There’s even a strong-as-oak book bag for little tykes.

Prices hover around the unheard-of century mark, so each counts as an investment piece.

As well as something you’ll love for eternity.
