You’re like the walking dead before that first cup of joe. So much so that you’ll reach for whatever high-octane, mass-produced swill you can find.
Come now, green pal.
Try making your way to Cambridge’s new Atomic Bean Cafe, which is brewing espresso from fresh beans in small batches and serving it in recycled cups.
The former home of Mojo Records is now a bright, airy retreat with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and free Wi-Fi, thanks to UK transplant David Fieldhouse.
He’s using independent roasters (try the Sumatran Black Satin blend) and local vendors whenever possible, like serving baked goods from Boston Baking and iced drinks in corn-based plastic.
Helping jolt both you and your ecoways.
