You’ve never been big on frogs (warts, slime, ew).
But turtles are a whole other story. Especially if they’re in the form of microgreens from Rhode Island’s Farming Turtles.
The greens farm has veered from its restaurant-only track (it’s your favorite chef’s secret weapon) to give home cooks the peppery perk of fresh-cut microgreens. (It has Baxter covered, too, with pet salads made from wheatgrass.)
Toss the spicy blend (mustard greens, arugula, pak choi, and purple daikon) over steak for a little extra zest, stuff the snow pea shoots into a sandwich, or sprinkle your fave pizza with Genovese basil.
Each container doubles as a centerpiece so you can snip and serve on the spot.
Now look who’s coming out of her shell.
