Big Boned

Marathon Paws Animal Fitness Training

You’re not usually one for name-calling, but your shih tzu has become quite the fat bitch.

Let Michele Martin of Marathon Paws intervene. The animal fitness trainer constructs holistic wellness and fitness regimes for portly pups.

Get the sign-off from your vet, then schedule a two-hour appointment at your home. Martin will ask about fatty’s behavior, diet, and activity level — as well as your time (and budget) commitment to the cause. She’ll then develop a customized doggie exercise routine that includes holistic nutrition advice, warm-ups, games, and cardio.

Two days later (right about the time you’ve forgotten it all), Martin will e-mail you a recap of the plan. If you’re as lazy as your better half, she can also swing by and do the training herself.

That hard-ass.
