The First Cut Is the Deepest

Michael Labrecque Salon Opens

Dearest Atasha,

We’ve been through it all (bangs, balayage, that on-again off-again bastard), and I’ve hesitated to tell you this for so long. But truth is, I’ve found someone else.

It’s Michael Labrecque — you know, the stylist and colorist from posh James Joseph Salon. He just opened his own spot on Newbury Street and that’s where I need to be right now.

I can sip espresso or cucumber water while talking to a Goldwell-trained stylist who just wants me to look my best. No more power struggles. No more feathered layers. And he’s got way better magazines.

Where you were passive aggressive, Labrecque just wants me to have healthy hair; he uses all-natural products and offers three different conditioning treatments. Plus, I’ll sit in a massage chair.

I know it’s cowardly to do this in writing.

But sometimes the split ends justify the means.
