For you, stopping to smell the roses is easier said than done (thanks, Zicam). But you could gaze at pretty blooms all day (except when you arrange them, Miss Allthumbs).
Take your petal skills to the next level with an at-home flower arranging class with Hiroko Takeshita. The petite, soft-spoken owner of Hanaya Floral Design in Cambridge will come to your house — blooms, vases, accessories, and Japanese-style tea and sweets in hand — for a two-hour session with up to ten people.
Takeshita leans toward a contemporary, Japanese-inspired aesthetic, but she’ll customize the classes to incorporate seasonal flora and show you how to make any arrangement you’re after (bridal bouquets, centerpieces).
You’ll get to hang on to your work, as well as extra buds for practice.
Which definitely doesn’t stink.
