Oh, That's Cold

The Prana Cafe Opens

the prana cafe!

Going au naturel may not be for you (too many rogue hairs, not enough support). We get that. (Do we ever.)

But now you can go pure without going naked.

Starting today, The Prana Cafe (owned by the duo behind Prana Power Yoga down the street) will be serving a raw (read: nothing cooked above 118 degrees) vegan menu for breakfast and lunch.

The burrito is wrapped in chard leaves and filled with refried beans, marinated vegetables, and sour cream. Buckwheat crust pizza has marinara, nut cheese, portobello mushrooms, and sweet onions. There are crunchy snack options (house-made granola, onion rings, flax crackers) and smoothies, too.

If you simply must have warm food (poseur), try the lasagna or eggplant Parm. If you’re in a hurry, go for the grab-and-go goods.

And that’s the bottom line laid bare.

The Prana Cafe, 292 Centre Street, Newton Corner (617-527-7726 or pranaraw.com).
