Oh no! We're so sorry your cupcakes didn't turn out. Our crack team of fact checkers triple-checked that the recipe is correct, but Amy at the bakery would love to help you figure out what went wrong. She's available at the number listed in the story (http://www.dailycandy.com/kids/philadelphia/article/76741/The-Night-Kitchens-Pumpkin-Pound-Cake-Cupcake-Recipe).

On Nov 2 Daily Candy Kids Phila posted a recipe for "Twice as Spice" Pumpkin Poundcake Cupcakes from the Night Kitchen in Phila (one of our favorite bakeries) The cupcakes were the most dreadful tasting things we have ever had!! Even my husband wouldn't eat them and he eats anything! I think the recipe is wrong (3/4 lb of butter???!!!) Poor little paper liners were saturated in butter and the cupcakes tasted like raw pumpkin. Uh-Oh Night Kitchen...Micky would not be happy!
