What: Debi Greenberg’s waterfront retail oasis, complete with name tweak, just debuted. (Salon Mario Russo and the second-floor restaurant will soon follow.)
Why: The decidedly different 25,000-square-foot aluminum and mahogany structure (wall graffiti!) houses the same found-nowhere-else brands (Balenciaga, Peter Pilotto, Brian Reyes) as well as the institution’s well-loved housewares and Music Bar.

What: Ecominded eateries (Hungry Mother, Bistro Les Gras) cook sustainable menus to benefit Chefs Collaborative.
Why: Braised pork belly and blue Maine mussels ($60) at Stanhope Grille, humanely raised Vermont veal and Carlisle Farmstead cheese ($75) at Lumiere.

B&G Oysters Second Annual Oyster Invitational
What: The bivalve bonanza returns with unlimited mollusks from Matunuck and Salt Pond, bite-size lobster rolls, and oyster-friendly wines and suds.
Why: New features include a silent auction, small plates from area restos (O Ya, Oleana), and Beer & Bivalves tutorials at Stir.

A South End Design Moment at J.E.M.
