Clean Up Your Act with Bootstrap Compost

Send Your Waste to a Better Place

Your eco resolutions have plummeted with the temp. Composting? Yeah, you’ll be sure to dump that slop atop the 24-foot snowdrift on your back deck.

Let Andy Brooks change your chilly attitude. The Jamaica Plain resident just launched Bootstrap Compost, a weekly bicycle-pickup service that takes your waste to a better place for just $8.

Upon sign-up, Brooks gives you a lidded bucket and extensive how-to tips. After that, he picks up your full pot (before the stink sets in), then hauls it to one of several urban gardening projects in JP and Roxbury.

Brooks serves any part of the metro area accessible via public transport or bike (and can work out a plan for those farther afield).

Old Man Winter may be doing you dirty, but at least you’ll keep your conscience clean.
