You gave up on gift-of-the-month clubs after the CD mail-order debacle of ’03 (no one should be subjected to Aaron Carter’s greatest hits).
Let blooms and Bordeaux renew your faith. The Urban Grape oenophiles have paired with Ilex Designs’s brilliant florists to launch Sips & Stems Delivered.
Every four weeks, UG owner TJ Douglas chooses one accessible yet atypical bottle for delivery to your home (take that, winery cap laws). Ilex owner Andrew Anderson then fashions a complementary, organic arrangement based on the season (succulents one month, yellow tulips with purple roses the next).
Recipients can choose between red or white wine varieties as well as a beer option. The deliveries (to metro Boston and surrounding burbs) arrive on the first Thursday of each month. Bonus: The $75 per month service requires no minimum sign-up period.
And that’s music to your ears.
