Brew Beer like a Pro at Brew Camp

Hop to It

brew camp chicago!

Used to be camp meant spider bites and revelry. But life gets more fun when you’re 21.

For an experience unlike any other, head to Brew Camp in Northcenter. The just-opened shop caters to pros and beginners alike.

Owners Jared Saunders and Whit Nelson, who combined have more than twenty years of home-brewing experience, have lined the walls with low- to high-end equipment (bottles, siphons, herbs, hops, yeasts, grains) to give the space an old general store feel.

Aficionados will go crazy for 30-plus bulk grains and hops; novices can start with prepackaged kits. The guys will walk you through every step on-site, from bottling to siphoning (they promise it’s easy). They’ll even help create custom recipes so you can brew bespoke product.

Coming soon: e-commerce and free hands-on classes (starting Saturday).

It’s home brewing debunked.

Brew Camp, 2039 West Belle Plaine Avenue, at Lincoln Avenue (773-857-2400 or brewcamp.com). To register for classes, e-mail cheers@brewcamp.com.
