Do you avoid the Six Corners like the ten plagues?
Here’s one reason to give it a second chance: the new Francesca’s Forno.
It’s amazing what seven weeks can do to a place. A rustic look (with giant accordion-style windows that open to the street), new chef (Larry Tio, formerly of Mon Ami Gabi), and updated menu deliver just what the neighborhood needs: an affordable, delicious, stay-all-night dining haunt.
The more you share, the more you can try. Our last visit had us gobbling roasted radishes with orange segments and pistachio pesto, soaking up our mussels’ prosecco-fennel broth with charred bread, snagging the last soft and pillowy spinach-ricotta ignudi, and ogling our neighbors’ pork belly pizza.
Brunch is equally lovely: raspberry ricotta crepes, pork hash, and frittatas.
Forno deserves a high five.
