ODLCO Is a Grand Slam

Exclusive Designs from Artists Worldwide

object design league!

Thanks to the big-box store takeover, your apartment resembles the prop home in Arrested Development.

Ditch the manufactured look with an indie piece from Object Design League, whose online store launches today.

In their Pilsen studio, founders Caroline Linder and Lisa Smith search for designers (from local to international) who produce rough, wild, functional objects.

For their house brand, ODLCO, the duo collaborated with local talent like Gabriel Hargrove, whose small-scale cast-iron pot fits on a grill (its handles are cast from charred wood) and SAIC grad Michael Savona, who makes small-production jewelry and home goods.

Other items include Chicagoan Steven Haulenbeek’s aluminum bowls made from Styrofoam, Seth Keller’s wooden heirloom blocks, and French designer Olivier Lellouche’s wooden plates carved with a chainsaw for a raw, rustic finish.

Talk about a cult following.
