Three weeks in, and already the employees at Wicker Park’s Native Foods Cafe know you by name.

Soon you can replicate the resto’s coveted meatless dishes in your own kitchen: Free cooking classes debut tomorrow.

To kick things off, famously funny chef Tanya Petrovna will fly in from Cali to teach 75 foodies the ins and outs of street food. The menu (inspired by her travels) includes seitan gyros, Mexican corn on the cob, and Thai banana satay. Class is full, but the cafe sweetly reserved space for the first ten DailyCandy readers who sign up.

If you can’t make it Saturday, the fall lineup looks just as enticing. On September 24, executive chef Kendall Huff (formerly of Four Seasons) leads Hold the Butter, a class that “nativizes” Paula Deen’s caloric recipes (sign-ups start September 10).
