You can fool yourself into thinking summer lasts forever.
But when Tom Skilling says falling temps are imminent, it’s a different story.
The Addison Story, to be exact. The line from Parsons grad Amy Hsiung is full of fall separates (with a dose of spring for good measure) that have us excited for a windchill.
Soak up the fleeting warmth in silk flutter shorts and a ’40s-style, boxy pin-tuck shirt. At night, slip into the cap-sleeve, Lanston-print faux-wrap dress. The painted-dot swing top sweetly taps into the polka-dot trend; a sheer black belted skirt is simultaneously pixie and vixen (pixen?).
When things really cool down, get cozy in a sweater: Try the Navajo-inspired tunnel-neck or the burned sienna capelike cocoon on for size. And the black and white Deco dress is spun from sweater-weight cotton.
Available at Clever Alice, 1920 North Damen Avenue, between Homer and Cortland Streets (773-276-2444 or cleveralice.com), $150-$350.
