The last time you heard a dinner bell, you were picking ants on a log out of your braces.
Introducing YU Dinnerbell, a.k.a. Mess Call 2.0.
After years of wooing readers with tasty plant-based recipes, YumUniverse founder/healthy living guru Heather Crosby now prepares good-for-you meals to be picked up at a secret location.
How it works: When dinner’s ready, Crosby rings her “dinner bell” via Twitter and email. Reserve your share of the small-production meals — entrees, dessert, snacks, or all three — on a first-come, first-served basis. Once your meal is confirmed, you’ll learn where to find it.
The most recent bell rang for a week’s worth of goodness. A $25 donation secured one serving each of raw apple harvest crisps, raw carrot cake bar, plum-thyme tart, almond crunch kale chips, chocolate chunk walnut oat clusters, and a ginger molasses cookie.
Has a nice ring to it.
