You’d love to volunteer, but your helping hands are pretty tied up lately. (Hello, diaper changes.)
Reach out to your charitable side with More Than Milk. The new organization puts together volunteer events for busy moms to attend with baby in tow. Every two months, the group throws its efforts toward a different local nonprofit, ranging from cultural institutions to social service agencies.
Recently, moms donated and wrapped gifts for Sarah’s Inn, an advocacy agency for victims of domestic violence. This month and next, they throw support behind literacy-focused charity Open Books, hosting a read-a-thon on January 26 and a donation drive on February 8.
Just sign up online beforehand to participate, and get ready to give back and make new friends.
That definitely deserves a hand.
