Loretta's Bake Shop and Cafe Opens in the West Loop

Mama Knows Best

brioche!

Growing up with nine brothers and sisters, you learn to share early on.

But some things are better kept for yourself — like sweets.

At newly opened West Loop spot Loretta’s Bake Shop and Cafe you won’t have to vie for the last piece of pie: Owner Marybeth Flynn bakes everything in individual serving sizes.

The quaint fourteen-seater is filled with vintage photos of Flynn’s mother — the bakery’s namesake — who raised Flynn and her siblings on the South Side.

Small-batch, single-serving cakes (blueberry crumb, banana), lemon curd brownies, cookie sandwiches, sticky buns, brioche, and cinnamon buns baked fresh every day top the rotating menu.

Breakfast and lunch (coming soon) include baked French toast, big chopped salads, brisket sandwiches on Labriola bread, and hearty pastas.

The only thing you’ll be splitting is your seams.
