Dessert is divine, but (supposedly) eating sugar is downright evil.
There seems to be a hole in the logic.
A donut hole, to be exact. Go ahead and indulge at Glazed and Infused, an artisan donut shop that opened two locations yesterday: Wicker Park (a walk-up window outside Francesca’s Forno) and Fulton Market, an industrial 1940s Americana-inspired space with walls covered with reclaimed barn wood.
Pastry chef powerhouse Christine McCabe (2005 Bon Appétit Pastry Chef of the Year) and Krispy Kreme big shot Tom Culleeney craft more than a dozen regular flavors daily, plus a roster of rotating specialties, from scratch.
Go for tried-and-true favorites (glazed vanilla bean, red velvet) and more obscure indulgences (bacon sticky bun crullers, yuzu curd-filled lemon cake), all made with natural, locally grown ingredients.
Coming soon: a retro-inspired sit-down cafe in Lincoln Park.
