You’re all for guilty pleasures, but your latest — a recurring craving for highly questionable drive-thru fare — has you worried. (Hint: It involves a Doritos shell.)
Swing by just-opened Ballard Pizza Company for a fast-food fix you needn’t be ashamed of.
The first of Ethan Stowell’s forthcoming casual concept restaurants (courtesy of Grubb Brothers Productions), BPC serves traditional thin-crust pizza by the pie or slice. Eat in or take out za topped with eggplant, spicy coppa, basil, arugula, fresh mozz, and more. Also on the menu: pasta, salads, and daily specials made with locally sourced ingredients (as if there was ever a question).
The restaurant’s exposed brick walls, concrete floors, reclaimed wood tables, and garage-door opening add to its low-key appeal. The rustic warehouse exterior charms, too. But it’s the 30-strong wine list and eight beers (plus two wines) on tap that seal the deal.
So you can wipe that egg (McMuffin) off your face.
