It was a busy spring for San Francisco wedding planner Kelly McLeskey-Dolata. First, she launched A Little Savvy Event, a party planning biz specializing in baby showers, gender reveal parties, sip and sees, and birthday bashes. Then, she had her second baby. Wisely, McLeskey-Dolata let her associate, Courtney Cargile, plan her a welcome-to-the-world-themed celebration.
Describe the party in six words or less.
Creative, elegant, intimate, fresh, detailed, unique.
What was your favorite element of the party?
I loved working within the overall theme of welcome to the world. It is such a simple phrase, but I found myself flooded with ideas for potential decorations and details. I loved all the map garland, and I was really pleased with how the hanging mobiles of maps turned out, especially since the whole DIY project cost me about $15 at the thrift store.
