Le tee, c’est chic.
At least that’s the philosophy behind BoBo House, the new L.A.-based line of T-shirts, tanks, and pareus.
French-born designer Eloise Lapidus (daughter of Parisian fashion visionary Ted Lapidus) combines feminine cuts with soft, ecofriendly fabrics for a collection that’s equal parts Francophile charm and So-Cal casual (“bobo” is shorthand for bourgeois bohemian).
Add a dose of je ne sais quoi to your closet with drapey cardigans and sarong-style dresses, play agent provocateur in tees splashed with sassy sayings (jolie môme; l’amour, la musique, et un whisky), or get cheeky with boatneck silhouettes emblazoned with an illustration of a boat.
Who says the French aren’t funny?
Available at Satine, 8134 West Third Street, between South La Jolla Avenue and South Kilkea Drive, Mid-City (323-655-2142 or satineboutique.com), $69 and up. To see styles, go to bobo-house.com.
