Chicago native Lauren Zailyk is an interior designer-slash-architecture student-slash-jewelry maker.
Her new bauble collection, Elzee, is brilliant-slash-awesome.
Zailyk juxtaposes found, repurposed, and one-of-a-kind treasures from the past (sourcing everywhere from fleas to her grandma’s vintage) with hip punches of neon, nylon, and leather for an eccentric mash-up.
She takes cues from architects and rooms she loves, even drawing inspiration from photos from a recent Cape Cod trip. (You can practically smell the sunshine coming off Pink Sandbar’s beach-wood chips and gold freshwater pearls, pictured above.)
Chunky, ’80s-glam Leather Chain Letter is a subtle statement piece. Graffiti Jellyfish earrings are straight-up showstoppers: a hot pink/pearl explosion that will transform your daily uniform.
One look and you’ll be hooked-slash-smitten.
