Our favorite nest featherers

best of home!

Congrats! Our home inspection team has given you the seal of approval for 2012. Don’t thank us. Thank the folks who helped you make the best of your nest this year.

Official Inspection Report

Home structure: Supportive of decor, embellishment, and design of all kinds.

Kitchen: Fully stocked for dinner parties, thanks to dishware from The Hutch and vintage serving tools from Martyn George.

Aroma: As fresh and sweet as a wild meadow, thanks to Field & Florist’s sustainably grown blooms.

Furnishings: Retro chic. Sources include Circa Modern for midcentury treasures from Italian, American, and Scandinavian designers; and Modern Cooperative for estate sale, thrift shop, and flea market finds.

Plant life: Air plants, moss, and lichen — all artfully arranged in Bottle & Branch custom terrariums. Indoor/outdoor plant boxes from K. Dille Designs sprout cedar, pine, and fir branches.

Local charm: Made-in-the-Midwest flourishes abound, including Milkhaus tea towels, Field Notes booklets and pencils, and The Medium Control posters from Neighborly.

Rating: 10 out of 10. Immaculate.

Recommendation: Cozy up and see what 2013 has in store.
