The last time you did shots, the night started with a kamikaze and ended with a karaoke solo. (“What If God Was One Of Us,” naturally.)
Toss one back without fear of shame during a Japanese white charcoal massage at The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
The treatment starts with a shooter of charcoal powder mixed with water. Don’t be scared — the gray-tinged concoction, said to settle your digestive system, goes down smooth. On the massage table, your therapist uses rice bran oil and pressure-point techniques to release even the most hidden aches and pains.
In the midst of the bliss, you’re treated to a back scrub made from a mix of crushed Japanese pine needles, sea salt, and oil. Heat is applied, and your license to zone out is officially granted.
You’ll sing its praises.
