When it comes to love, moms know best.

So it makes sense that Melinda Subido, Pecking Order’s matriarch (and mother to chef Kristine Subido), should dictate your Valentine’s Day plans.

Crowds who flock to Uptown’s chicken haunt have lately been clamoring for her off-menu cookies, baked on a whim and elegantly presented in a case up front.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Subido — in true mother goose form — created special cookie boxes just for DailyCandy readers: three walnut-studded chocolate chip with dried cherries, plus five coconut-heavy chocolate chip macaroons, sealed with a kiss (a ribbon, really), for a mere $6.

She throws in a recipe for the chocolate chip cookies, so you can attempt to re-create them at home. As for the macaroons?

Mum’s the word.
