We haven’t read It Takes a Village, but we’re fairly certain it isn’t about beauty routines.

Learn to fly solo with hair and makeup classes at Reiman Condron Beauty.

The new West Town beauty school is a collaboration between one of our favorite makeup artists, Rachel Reiman, and former Trio hair stylist Ashley Condron.

Three two-hour makeup classes cover the bases: easy, on-the-go techniques (eyebrow grooming; eye, cheek, and lip how-tos); a more in-depth focus on polished looks and the tools to get you there; and prepping for fancier occasions (dramatic eyes, red lips). After Reiman demos, you practice on yourself using your own products or borrowing from her collection.

Hair tutorials follow suit: quick styling techniques (polished ponys and braids; hair product 101); DIY blowouts (beachy waves, stick straight); and more formal looks (updos, the flawless topknot).

Online videos (accessible after you take a class) help you remember it all. And if you can’t make a class, private sessions are also available.
