You’re a whiz at crossing borders with foreign substances.
But the street value of trans-Atlantic beauty products ain’t what it used to be.
Hustle to Le Remède, a West Town boutique spa opening today.
Owner/Chicago native Erin Stinson lived and worked in Portland, Oregon, under the tutelage of a French spa owner (and former cosmetics chemist at Dior, bien sur).
Now she aims to bring European sensibility (facials as maintenance, not indulgence) stateside. Hit the sunny beauty bar for peels; waxing and body treatments (try the steam detox) take place in private rooms.
Cruise a pharmacy’s worth of impossible-to-find beauty products from overseas: Nuxe, Homeoplasmine, Biafine, and Klorane, to name a few. (Le Remède is the only place to carry most of them.)
A product junkie, Stinson hands out samples so you can test before you buy.
Just don’t call her a pusher.
