Tee'd Up

Democracy. What a concept. Offer the people choices, let them cast their votes, then give them what they asked for.

Or, you know, most of them.

But as with all things, practice makes perfect. So, this election season, take a trial run on a consequence-free nonpartisan issue: T-shirt design.

Here’s how it works: Log onto Threadless.com (based right here in Chicago), which takes submissions from designers and wannabes across the nation (these will be your candidates). Next, register and put in your two cents (this is your vote). Then, after all of the votes have been counted (no hanging chads here), the tees with the biggest followings are printed in limited quantities and available for you to snatch up online.

Proving — yet again — that every vote counts.
