From Puppy, With Love

Dear Nana,

Greetings from Camp Dogwood!

What a neat idea! A camp for dogs to call their own. Mom and I are having a grrrreat time — this is way more fun than our spring camping trip (those fleas were icky). I’m meeting the coolest dogs, and the owners are nice, too. Yesterday we did a group hike and swim, and guess what: I had the best doggie paddle in the group — even better than Magic, the bossy black lab. (Guess her bark is worse than her bite.)

Tomorrow, we’re taking an arts-and-crafts class. I’m going to make a plaster paw print and a real painting on canvas. (Mom’s convinced I’ll be a regular Paw-casso.) She also signed up for doggie nutrition, so now you can remind us both to eat right.

Okay, gotta run. It’s time for the Night Howl campfire with s’mores and ghost stories. Don’t worry about Mom. She’s got me to snuggle with. But — hey! — what’s she doing talking to Magic’s dad?!

Your grandpup,

Wrigley
