He drools. He smells. And you’re forever picking up after him.
No, not your significant other. (Well, hopefully not, anyway.) Your dog, of course.
But despite his shortcomings, he only has to look at you with those pleading eyes and all is forgiven.
Must be because he’s just so full of love. You can now share your playful pup with people who could use some extra cuteness and warmth in their lives. The Delta Society’s Pet Partners Program trains volunteers and their pets to participate in animal therapy and animal-assisted activities. After passing an evaluation, bring your baby to hospitals, schools, and nursing homes, where you can provide a wealth of benefits to those in need of mental stimulation, nurturing, affection, or entertainment.
Don’t have a dog? You can volunteer the services of your rabbit, cat, bird, or chicken. (Do not — we repeat — do not bring your ant farm. Generous souls who own anything from a goldfish down on the evolutionary chain should consider a donation.)
Go on. Get your little buddy involved. He may not be perfect, but he’s always up for a little affection.
Much like your significant other.
