Art Attack
Artchiks

Perfume counters offer spritzes. Car dealers take you out for a spin. Even grocery stores dole out generous samples.
But when it comes to buying art, there’s no trial run.
Unless you call up the Artchiks, Heidi Kirsch and Lori Korol. Think of them as a matchmaking service for your walls: For a one-time fee, they come over and do an initial consultation (sizing up your pad and taking stock of your likes and dislikes). Next, they contact artists from around Chicago who they think are a fit. And finally, they deliver their selections to your home, letting you live with the pieces before you seal the deal.
Which means you may discover that the still life you’ve been dreaming about is actually a snooze. And that the abstract sculpture (which was so not your style) looks fantastic in the foyer. All of which reinforces the Artchik philosophy that the best way to buy art is to try it on for a while.
If only the folks at Tiffany agreed.
