There was a time when Members Only jackets were fiercely fashionable (the first time around) and it was supercool to pass notes (actual paper ones, not text messages) to your crush who sat three desks behind you.
Will you go out with me? Please check yes or no.
Days lost to the ages? No siree.
The creators of Found magazine present “Found: The Magazine, The Stuff,” a never-before-seen global collection of items their readers randomly discovered on the street, in restaurants, and, yes, even in high school hallways. The exhibit showcases everything from love letters on Post-Its (no break-ups in this bunch), to a Lost Bear sign (desperately seeking Teddy Ruxpin?), and Polaroids of strangers who bear an uncanny resemblance to Ron Jeremy.
So you can take a walk down memory lane and satisfy your inner voyeur while you’re at it.
Hey, you never know what you’ll bump into.
“Found: The Magazine, The Stuff” at Intuit is showing at The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art from January 7th through January 29th, 756 North Milwaukee Avenue (312-243-9088 or foundmagazine.com).
