Yin and Yung

Your inbox is cluttered with 51 unread messages. You haven’t seen the gym since you paid the initiation fee. And your best friend just informed you that your kitchen’s feng shui is all off.

Yar. It can be hard to find balance.

Not so for Chicago designer Yung Bagley. Her jewelry line, Spare, sits right between her Eastern heritage and her Western home.

One of Bagley’s sets is inspired by, and named for, natural Japanese forms like the shuukaku (harvest) and the saugen (meadow). Each design is appointed with stones like green onyx, quartz, and jade, then accented with delicate details like silk tassels. Her other collection is the yin to her yang — or the bling to her om — and it glows with Hollywood inspiration. Our favorite, the J. Crawford necklace, has slinky 14-karat-gold chains asymmetrically gathered on the side with briolette teardrops and pearls — perfect for work or play.

So you can rest assured that your accessory collection is harmoniously balanced.

Even if you can’t say the same about your life.
