Botanicals Flower Market

botanicals flower market!

Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?

Since you had to ask — not so well. It’s a tight squeeze considering that your teeny patch of green is fifteen floors up and a windowsill wide.

If you’re looking to get in on the ground floor, Botanicals has just the thing. Starting this Sunday, they’re launching their first summer flower market: fresh-cut blossoms, native Illinois plants, artisan baked goods, and a DIY design station, so you can play flower-arrangement maker.

There will also be vendors hawking organic fruits and veggies, cheese, and fair trade java beans. Plus, each week will feature a special guest merchant who gives back to the land or community. Week one: soaps and bath teas from The Enterprising Kitchen.

Just perfect for your pretty maids all in a row.

Just south of Botanicals, 2214 North Elston Avenue, at Webster Avenue. Sundays, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., through September.
